FOX MLB: 2025 Season Kicks Off 30 Years of MLB on FOX

FOX MLB kicked off their 2025 MLB coverage with the Tokyo Series before settling into its weekly coverage on FOX and FS1 starting on March 29. This season marks the 30th season of MLB on FOX.

The celebrated 30th season of Major League Baseball coverage will feature a returning cast of iconic on-air personalities and baseball legends who set the bar on FOX MLB’s unrivaled, marquee television coverage.

WORLD CLASS GAME BROADCASTERS

Entering their fourth season together, and fresh off calling an unforgettable World Series in front of the biggest television viewing audience in nearly a decade, analyst John Smoltz, a first-ballot Hall of Famer, and lauded play-by-play announcer Joe Davis call FOX Sports’ top regular season and playoff games. Decorated field reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci provide additional coverage on the ground.

FOX Sports’ traditional MLB Opening Weekend coverage leads off Saturday, March 29, with a day-night doubleheader. Action starts at 2:00 PM ET on FS1, with the Minnesota Twins facing the St. Louis Cardinals (Connor Onion, Verducci), followed by primetime regionalized matchups at 7:00 PM ET on FOX, featuring the Atlanta Braves vs. San Diego Padres (Jason Benetti, A.J. Pierzynski) and the New York Mets vs. Houston Astros (Davis, Smoltz, Rosenthal).

Throughout the regular season, announcers Adam Amin, Benetti, Davis, Kevin Kugler, Jeff Levering, Onion and Don Orsillo team up with analysts Eric Karros, Pierzynski, Smoltz, Verducci and Adam Wainwright in the booth.

BASEBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA: A SUMMER OF RIVALRIES

Starting Saturday, May 3, FOX Sports’ renowned BASEBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA returns with key matchups throughout the season on FOX:

SPEEDWAY CLASSIC: BASEBALL MEETS NASCAR

On Saturday, August 2, the MLB Speedway Classic presented by BuildSubmarines.com takes place at Bristol Motor Speedway in Tennessee, where the Atlanta Braves and Cincinnati Reds will compete in a unique baseball setting. The first-of-its-kind event merges the magnetic atmosphere of a NASCAR venue with a timelessness of America’s favorite pastime. Tennessee’s first-ever MLB game airs live from the Last Great Colosseum on Saturday, Aug. 2, at 7:00 PM ET on FOX.

THE 95th MIDSUMMER CLASSIC: BASEBALL’S BIGGEST STARS ON ONE STAGE

FOX Sports presents the 2025 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard, airing live from Truist Park in Atlanta on Tuesday, July 15, at 8:00 PM ET on FOX and FOX Deportes. As the most-watched All-Star event among all major sports, the game will feature top players competing on a national stage. The 2025 MLB All-Star Game will be the 26th Midsummer Classic to air on FOX – more than any other network.

POSTSEASON: ROAD TO THE FALL CLASSIC

FOX Sports’ action-packed baseball season culminates with its 26th presentation of the World Series presented by Capital One. The 121st Fall Classic on FOX will follow a thrilling 2024 World Series that dominated the television landscape with an average of 15,808,000 viewers, the best combined figure for the World Series since 2017.

LEGENDARY STUDIO LINEUP

FOX MLB’s lead studio desk features iconic figures who have defined a generation of baseball history, including Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and David Ortiz and World Series champion Alex Rodriguez. Fresh off calling his second Super Bowl for the network, the group is led by veteran host Kevin Burkhardt. In addition to covering the network’s special events this season, including the 95th MLB All-Star Game and first-ever Speedway Classic, the show travels to Dodger Stadium on Saturday, May 31, to tee up a nationally televised World Series rematch between the New York Yankees and the Los Angeles Dodgers on FOX.

Over the course of the season, Burkhardt, Chris Myers and Mike Hill host pregame and postgame coverage from the FOX Sports studio alongside a rotation of high-caliber analysts including former big-league stars Dontrelle Willis and Karros.

Also joining the team are reporter Michelle Liendo and play-by-play announcer Rolando Nichols.
